about her:

Jane is a fairly well known woman within the confines of Meryton. Albeit not entirely of her own doing for Mrs. Bennet is a great champion of her eldest daughter. Fortunately Jane posesses kindness and sensibility whereas other members of her family have a penchant for all things ridiculous.

Jane is a soft spoken and gently bred young lady. Although used to being looked over in favor of the vivacious Lydia or clever Lizzie she has managed to forge a place in her family as the second favorite. It matters little to her for she has her best friend and sister to confide in and that is all she needs.

In society she is widely reputed as the most lovely in Meryton, a fact she is completely unaware of. It embarasses her when her mother mentions her looks. She is easy to befriend for she likes to only see the good in people. Once counted among her circle of friends she is loyal to a fault and is happiest when those around her have acheived felicity.

Although she views the world in a positive way she is not so foolish to allow someone who has slighted her a place back in her heart. Having been wounded before she rarely lets anyone truly into her heart. Her friends are more akin to casual acquaintances than true friends for more often than not the conversation is one sided. Jane detests speaking of herself and would have no wish to be a burden upon anyone so she often turns the conversation back upon her partner or to a neutral subject. ( Lizzie is of course the obvious exception to the rule!)

So this is Jane! Everyone knows, loves and maybe even hates her! I adore good drama so if my sweet Jane can be of any assistance in creating it I'm usually up for most anything. I am a huge P&P fan and am having a blast writing with you all!

I can actually see Nicholas as liking her - a shock, I know! He has no patience for ridiculousness, and therefore would be rather unlikely to think much of the rest of her family (excepting, perhaps, Mary) but I think he would be sensible to her virtues and would be kind to her, in his way. Having grown up in Hertfordshire, they would definitely already know one another. I imagine as a young single man with some kind of money, he would be considered as something of a catch around Meryton - or at least would be, were he not quite so disagreeable! Let me know what you think!

Felicity & Jane
Flick would, simply put, just adore her and believe her everything fine and genteel. I could see the two of them being friends, because Flick wants to be friends with just about anyone! She's very new to the neighbourhood, having arrived only mere days before the Meryton Assembly to the guardianship of her cousin Nicholas.

Oh I like this! Both being Hertfordshire natives they would have defintely known each other before now. Perhaps Jane could champion him as not being quite as ill tempered as people think, even to a certain Miss Delaford?

I'm sure she would adore Flick as well. And it would be great for Jane to branch out and have a friend or two besides Lizzie and Charlotte. Could Nicholas provide introductions?
