A lot of ideas I have with a lot of you, because you guys are super awesome JANEAUSTEN4EVAeleventy!!, but I'm not the sort to steamroll on ahead and be a pain in the butt like that -- everyone has different perceptions...though some might be the same. (xD) So bar a couple of characters, I'm keeping it fairly open to be plagued plotted on.
Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy
The initial maleantagonist protagonist of the novel. Much sought after for his ten thousand pounds a year and his striking miens, he's not changed a jot, though this all depends on what will happen in his future. Some call him proud, and he certainly is, but a lot of it is misunderstanding. His housekeeper will tell you it's because he 'don't rattle on like some young gentleman', and you'd be surprised at how true that is. Give him a conversation with meat to it, and you might end up conversing with him all night. That aside, he's possessed of a surprisingly dry wit and a generous, loving disposition; it is just, unfortunately, so often smothered in favour of shyness, reticence and unfortunately though by society's standards justifiably a sense of superiority.
Family
Miss Georgiana Darcy - Adoptable!
Fitzwilliam loves his sister to the brink of the earth and back. He made it his vow to always protect her when he was a lonely little boy and she a motherless little babe in her crib, and he's held true to that vow to this very day, though after the run in with Wickham last year, he believes he's failed miserably in keeping such a promise. He often spoils her and is extremely protective of her, and nearly everything he does is weighed up on a scale of how will this affect Georgiana?.

Friends
Mr Charles Bingley
Never could you find two more different men in the world. And yet despite this, Darcy regards Charles as absolutely his best friend in the world. He knows things about him that no one else does. He knows him in that rare way very few people do. Darcy will actually joke with him, act playful, listen quietly when he prattles on, and just generally relax when he rarely gets the opportunity to do so with anyone else. If he could have ended up with a brother, it likely would have been a brother like Charles, and while he's the elder one (and subsequently feels the pressure of being looked up to), he quite frankly knows that he's grown to depend on his ebullient companion and the company he provides. Misguided as his attempts to protect Charles might prove to be in future, Darcy's heart is always in the right place when it comes to the service of his friend.
Enemies/Rivals
Mr. George Wickham
Sometimes, in the very back and deepest part of his mind, Darcy rues and regrets the friendship they once had as boys. They grew up together, after all, and regardless of George's disposition, he was someone who was around when the boy 'Will' was alone in the world without his mother. He gave the other man the money he demanded when the elder Mr. Darcy died, and astonishingly, it was not he who initially chose to sever all ties when he refused to give him more. However, any hope of salvation (or salvage) was absolutely gutted and burnt of all bridges after last year's terrible scandal, the one that nearly lost him Georgiana and would have destroyed not only her, but the entire Darcy name. Now, Darcy hates George Wickham as he hates no other, a hatred that has only been fuelled by the knowledge of Mr Wickham's growing interaction with Miss Elizabeth.
Sweethearts
Miss Elizabeth Bennet
Forgive him the forced strikeout, but he's doing his damnedest right now to not make eyes at her or let so much as breath of his growing anguish out into the open air. It's getting harder and harder to do, though, and more and more frequently is she on his mind.

A Meryton native, and quite possibly one of the most down to earth of them you might find. She's an avid reader, so she's just a little bit romantic. However, she's also blessed with a surprisingly sensible nature, no doubt helped along by the fact that from quite a young age, she's had to be the leading woman in the house. Especially with her mischievous brothers -- yes, that includes Patrick. You'll rarely ever not get a smile from this one, and if you don't find her willing to help you in the local book shop, you'll definitely find her out and about.
Family
Mr. Joel Levitt
The owner of Meryton's bookstore and a gentle old fellow, his wife's death has affected him deeply, and he's not as strong as he once was. You'll find that while he'll still come out into the public eye, he's more subdued than he was, and more and more have his children been taking over management of his shop and home as he's grown older. Regardless, Rebecca loves him dearly, and will not hear a word against him. NPC[/s]
Mr. Patrick Levitt - Adoptable
He took the job as Head Groom at Netherfield Park partly so his family would have some extra income, and partly to escape the shroud of his father's grief. He's a little bit self-centered and quick to scold, but one can't fault his love and care for his equine charges, nor the fact that he looks after his under-grooms. One certainly cannot fault him for his conduct towards his family; he's extremely fond of them, and part of the reason he's even working extra is so that when his father dies, he won't have any need to cast his sister or his brothers out, let alone have them ever want for a full stomach. Even if his favorite game is to playfully tease Rebecca and otherwise do his best to rile her up, but what are big brothers for?
James and Joshua Levitt - NPC's (for the moment)
Bright as buttons, these two will both brighten your day and quite possibly make you not wish to live another. It depends entirely on their mood and how bored they are, so it's best to keep them occupied by something, even conversation, if you find them in your general area/accosting you/greeting you. They're actually sweet boys in their own way, always eager to help and put that energy to good use around Meryton if you just give them the chance -- something you can thank poor Rebecca's attempts to raise them civilised for. They're identical down to the last freckle and thus, almost impossible to tell apart lest you note the little things. Like the fact that "Joshy" is that little bit quieter and shyer, and "Jamie" a little shorter, with that one dark freckle under his eye.

Colonel Benjamin Devereaux
Often affectionately referred to as Ben for short (never, EVER Benny), Colonel Devereaux is the sort of man you're either going to completely love or thoroughly hate. Or be utterly confused over, if you find you can't decide on either. On one hand, he's Regency's equivalent of a smartass; he doesn't pull punches, gives exactly what he's given (which thus makes it difficult to insult him), is thoroughly aware of who he is and comfortable with it, and combined with a soldier's blunt honesty, his favorite game is to find what's hilarious and ironic in the world and then see how far he can antagonise whatever it is that's hilarious and ironic before they a) crack or b) notice he's doing it. On the other hand, though...the man is blessed with a soldier's sense of honour, and while he might bluff and make a cut at people, he's never gone so far as to deliberately injure or wound someone long term. He does that more than enough on the battlefield. Nor can you fault his dedication or his finesse as a soldier of the Crown; he's Colonel for a reason. Never will you find a more loyal, hilariously insightful friend, nor a more protective, loving brother. If you can handle the reality of the bad with the good, then you've a man who will always be your man. Or a heart that will always be yours.
Family
Mrs. Josephine Devereaux (nee. Peacecraft) - Adoptable
He didn't always see eye to eye with his father, but growing up, Ben was a mother's boy through and through. Even when she frustrates him with her often expensive taste does he still love her. And knows he's most like her; he inherited both his playful disposition and his tenacity from the woman, after all, and he finds her matriarchal ways thoroughly amusing. Her tendency to try and interfere romantically, not so much.
Mr. Jonothan Devereaux - Adoptable
Though the Master of their family estate and initially the holder of his own fortunes until recently, Ben's tendency to antagonise Jonothan is a tendency that has grown from childhood with him. They're entirely different personalities, so it's inevitable that they quarrel. However, so too do they live by the mentality all quarrelling siblings abide by -- no one touches my brother but me. And it's exactly that -- Ben's quite allowed to irritate his brother, drive him mad, but anyone else? God help you.
Mr. Matthew Devereaux
Matty was the gentle one in the family, the one not really made for the military. Yet he joined it regardless, because he looked up to Ben. Ben himself was exceedingly protective of him, and to this day, still harbours feeling of grief and regret he can't quite shake. Even though he knows it wasn't his fault.
Miss Evelyn Devereaux - Adoptable
Though she is the elder sister, Evelyn, or "Evie" as Ben affectionately calls her, is without a doubt the quieter sister. Born prematurely and thus prone to illness more than others, she's actually quite sweet in her way...just shy. Shy and possessed of a similar wry humour to her brother. Ben tends to find books on his overseas travels especially for her, and if Ben had to admit to a favorite sibling, the one he is most protective of, it's Evelyn. Marianne could take on the whole world if she wished, but Evelyn, he worries for sometimes.
Miss Marianne Devereaux - Adoptable
Though she's the younger one and only recently introduced to society, Marianne is the sort of force to be reckoned with. She's a social little thing, and possesses the same tenacity as Ben and her mother, and she'll take on Napoleon himself is she has to. She's not silly, but she is a little pig-headed and stubborn when she chooses to be, and hasn't quite realised that she'd probably get away with less if she didn't have Ben to hide behind, though her heart is usually in the right place.
Mrs Amelia Devereaux (nee. Johnson) - Adoptable
Ben actually gets on with his sister in law. No, he really does. This is not a joke. In fact, he probably gets on with her better than he does his actual brother, and to be frank, he was friends with her before she and Jon met. You could even say he's the reason they ended up married in the first place, though the playful, good-natured and graceful 'Mia' won't ever go so far as to stoke her brother in law's ego.
Benjamin "Benny" Devereaux - Nephew - age 4
and John Devereaux - Nephew - age 9 months - NPC
They're worth a mention because Ben absolutely dotes on them, and given familiarity in time, they'll come up in conversation. Named after his uncle and one of only two other people in the family to possess the intense blue eyes of Josephine, little Benjamin Jnr, or Benny, actually looks more like Ben, idolises his Uncle Ben, is the apple of Ben's eye and knows it well, but he's thankfully blessed of a shy enough, good nature that he doesn't let it spoil him too much. As for John...well, he's still but a babe. But a chirpy, friendly little babe he most certainly is.
