DESCRIPTION: Miss Darcy possesses the typical appearance of a regularly handsome lady of sixteen years. She is in possession of a pretty figure that is tall and slim. Her delicate heart shaped face, coupled with the forever youthful expression within her almond brown eyes, paints upon her the appearance of complete innocence. As befits a lady of her status, Georgiana's light blonde hair is typically curled in the delicate, fashionable style deemed best by society; not even a single strand is ever out of place. A sweet, shy smile is forever upon the young lady's lips to make up for the lack of grace and ease within her manner.
Though she herself does not much care for the latest clothing trends, those around Miss Darcy are int he habit of ensuring that she keeps up with them. Her wardrobe is often frequented with new bonnets, slippers and gowns. Nearly every color and pattern of gown imaginable can be found in the lady's closet. Despite the plethora of options, Georgiana prefers to cloth herself in light colors, white and light blue being her favorites. She is of the opinion that darker colors are rather dull and spiritless, and are a poor reflection of her own disposition, which is generally quite happy.
PERSONALITY: Upon one's first meeting with Miss Darcy, it is rare that a gentleman or lady is able to comprehend even a smidgen of her true personality. Certainly, one may able to discern that the lady is exceedingly accomplished by a viewing of her superior performance upon the pianoforte. Additionally, her drawing skills are just as they ought to be, her various instructors have ensured that she is well read, and her embroidering abilities are perfectly equal to that of any other young lady.
In spite of all her fine accomplishments, whispers about Miss Darcy still flutter within parlors and assembly rooms. Many gentlemen and ladies, with whom she is not well acquainted, are inclined to think her exceedingly proud due to the lack of conversation she takes part in while in public. They believe that her thirty thousand pounds has caused her to put on airs and think that she is above all the people within her company. These assumptions, however, are entirely false. Miss Darcy's lack of speech with those she does not know terribly well is a result of her never ceasing shyness and timidity. Being among those she has not spent much time with in the past causes the lady to grow nervous and weak, and any conversation on her part is awkward at best.
Beneath the exterior, lies a gentle and unassuming disposition that only those exceedingly close to her are able to see. Georgiana is loyal to those she loves and esteems, particularly her elder brother. He is one of her most favorite people in the entirety of the world, and she would stop at nothing to please him. Miss Darcy is also quite open minded and compassionate in regard to love and marriage. She thinks that if a gentleman and lady are quite in love with one another, they ought to marry, regardless of their respective social classes.

HISTORY: Upon a particularly brisk autumn morning in 1795, joy was graced upon the wealthy, affluent Darcy family of Pemberley. Lady Anne Fitzwilliam Darcy gave birth to the second child and first daughter of Mr. George Darcy. The couple and their young son, Fitzwilliam, were thrilled about the arrival of little Georgiana. Unfortunately, their happiness was short lived, as Lady Anne never recovered from the birth and succumbed to death, leaving her husband a widower and her children motherless. In spite of growing up without a mother at her side, the young lady fared quite well, lived an idyllic childhood and never truly wanted for anything.
As the youngest in the household, Georgiana was greatly doted upon its other members - namely, her father and older brother. The former was kind and caring toward her and Fitzwilliam; never does a day go by where Miss Darcy does not fondly recall some lovely thought or piece of wisdom spoken by her father. The latter was her most favored companion who she came to with all of the childish issues plagued her mind; never was he without a solution.
Fitzwilliam's presence in her life expanded in the young lady's eleventh year when the first true tragedy struck her life. Mr. George Darcy, the most loving and devoted father, departed from the world. Never for a moment did her older brother waver in his strength, devotion, and care for Georgiana while beneath the mountain of grief and responsibility that fell upon him upon his father's death. He took over the guardianship of his sister as he did the ownership of Pemberley - with grace and ability. Not only was Fitzwilliam the supportive brother he had always been, but he also performed the role of surrogate father well. Though Miss Darcy was without her father and mother, she never lacked proper and suitable guidance. Her older brother ensured that she continued to receive a proper education and that her favorite instrument, the pianoforte, is perfectly in tune.
It was during Georgiana's fifteenth year that an old friend from her childhood resumed his presence in her life. Mr. George Wickham had always been exceedingly kind, polite and agreeable to Miss Darcy when she was young. In spite of her numerous stutters, he always went out of his way to make conversation and take part in her childish games. It was due to his never ending kindness in former days that she felt for his scheme. Whilst in Ramsgate with her governess, Mrs. Younge, she met with Mr. Wickham. Naive, Miss Darcy was easily wooed by his charm and kindness toward her. The young gentleman made it seem as though he was spending time with the lady because he enjoyed her company rather than the prospect of her money. It was rare that Georgiana met with anyone who wished to become her friend for reasons other than her's or Fitzwilliam's fortunes.
Miss Darcy was persuaded by the dashing Wickham, and Mrs. Younge to elope, unaware of the honest reason for his desire to marry her.
Fortunately, Fitzwilliam arrived prior to the pair's elopement for Scotland, and extracted Georgiana from the disagreeable situation she had woven herself into. He promptly explained the true nature of the situation, removed her from Ramsgateand ensured that not a single soul - aside from himself, the people involved and her other guardian, Colonel Fitzwilliam - knew of the occurrence.
Now, that she is sixteen, Georgiana is less naive than before, but equally shy. It is her deepest desire that she and her beloved brother, her most favorite person in the world, find a person to marry who loves their personalities rather than their substantial means.

The room smelled of freshly made coffee and baked goods. All around her there were sounds of spoons on china cups and quiet laughter. Rory smiled contentedly. The scene was perfectly to her liking. There she sat with a cup of coffee in front of her and Pride and Prejudice, her favorite Jane Austen novel, open in front of her. Rory returned her attention to her book, tuning out everything around her, pausing only to take a sip of the delicious coffee. She was at the part where Mr. Darcy's good deeds were made known to Elizabeth.
Rory sighed at the thought. At times, she wished her life were more like a novel. The ability to do as one pleased, to defy society's expectations, and to be almost always sure of a happy ending.
In spite of the unwritten rule that she would never date, Rory sometimes wished that a kind gentleman, not unlike Mr. Darcy, would sweep her off her feet, and instigate a whirl wind romance of a nature that the world had never before seen.
Her stomach tightened at the thought. It had always been preached to her when she was young that she ought not to fall in love, as there was a good chance that she would be placed into an arranged marriage. When the subject had come up with her eldest brother, he had promised Rory that he would do all he could to keep her out of one. Despite his promises, she could not help but feel uneasy.
Rory shook the thoughts out of her head, took a sip of her coffee, and once again returned her thoughts to the novel in front of her. She was, after all, only sixteen. There was time left before she would be subjected to an unwanted match courtesy of her parents.
