MR. FITZWILLIAM DARCY [/center] . TWENTY EIGHT . NOBLE . GENTLEMAN . BACHELOR . [/tt] One of the many things that Fitzwilliam Darcy does not want for is personality. He is of a snobbish nature, having been raised amongst the best of the best, he knows himself to be included in that section of society and feels no need to have anything to do with those lesser than himself. He can be considered haughty and reserved, quite fastidious and aloof, having a style of manner that is quite refined, but not inviting to mostly anyone. He easily offends people and thinks little to nothing about it, caring only of the opinion of his closest friends and some of his relatives. Beneath all of that, though, lies a man of good morals and care. Just because he doesn’t wish to socialize with those he considers below himself, it does not mean he is unaware of their plights. He is generous to most and takes good care of the tenants that live on his land. He loves his sister more than anything in the world and would do absolutely anything for her or to protector. His friends are just as important, specifically one Mister Bingley, whom he shares a close relationship with.

Wickham & Darcy; Wickham is in Meryton with the Regiment, but he doesn't yet know Darcy has arrived in the party of the much-talked-about Bingley. He's planning to use his connection to the Darcy family to boost his own status and play the victim card, but I'd love to have a thread with Wickham and Darcy! In the book, when they meet in Meryton for the first time, both shocked to see the other is here, all we see is a curt nod and touch of the hat. But maybe we can a thread where they meet and rather have it out--they must, sooner or later! Something private of course, but I'd love to see how the dignified, reserved Darcy reacts to seeing Wickham again after all these years!
